Leeds United will want to make a return to winning ways when they meet Ipswich Town on Wednesday night at Elland Road.
The Whites were on the wrong end of a 2-1 result against Blackburn Rovers at the weekend, however, with results going in their favour, they managed to remain around the top of the Championship table.
The club will be keen to restore order following the international break and will want to view the defeat at Ewood Park as a minor blip in their quest for promotion back to the Premier League and will see the game against Ipswich as a great opportunity.
However, Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been dealt a huge blow in their chances of trying to get a win on Wednesday.
The Football Association decided to ban the Swede for one game after publicly criticising the referee and using offensive language during an interview after the match.
Bielsa also confirmed to the club’s official website that Barry Douglas also remains unavailable, however, Luke Ayling could make a return after he served his own suspension, whilst Jack Harrison has been working his way back from an injury he picked up.
The suspension of Jansson will have come as a huge blow to Leeds as they look to get the three points on Wednesday, although, in fairness, it may have come at the best time for the Whites and the defender.
The Swede’s wife has recently only just given birth to their daughter and it was unlikely that the centre-back would have featured much at Elland Road anyways and will now be looking to make a return at the weekend when they host Nottingham Forest.
With Ayling set to come back into the fold, the likes of Liam Cooper and Gaetano Berardi will be able to fill in during Jansson’s extended absence.
