Leeds team news: Marcelo Bielsa could name unchanged side

Leeds United will head to The Hawthorns on Saturday evening when they meet West Bromwich Albion.

The Whites sit at the top of the Championship ahead of the day’s fixtures and will want to make sure they take the three points in the evening to retain their position at the summit.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have had a number of injuries this season, however, he may have just been handed a positive boost ahead of the game.

According to the club’s official website, the Argentine is in the position to be able to name the same side from last weekend’s win against Wigan Athletic.

That could be key for the Elland Road outfit as the Baggies have a number of key players to return to their squad.

Bielsa will continue to be without the likes of Luke Ayling, Patrick Bamford, Gaetano Berardi and Tom Pearce, who all remain on the sidelines with injuries.

The Verdict:

Leeds being able to call upon the same side could come as a huge boost for Bielsa on Saturday evening.

The Whites will be confident of getting a result against a side that have been in poor form, especially given the performance they managed to produce against Wigan last weekend when they came from behind.

A win for Bielsa’s side will also keep the club at the top of the Championship just as the final international break of 2018 approaches and could mean that they start to pull away from an incredibly tight chasing pack as they enter the festive period.
