Leeds United will be looking to build a three-point gap between them and their rivals at the top of the Championship rivals on Saturday.
The Whites host Brentford in the lunch-time game at Elland Road this weekend and will be looking to put pressure on everybody else playing afterwards.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are coming off an impressive away win against Hull City last time out and will be looking to continue their winning ways against the Bees.
Barry Douglas has been ruled out with a strain to the hamstring but that could mean a chance for Tom Pearce to make his first appearance under Bielsa.
The Whites, who have not been averse to injury concerns this season, will also have Kemar Roofe, Patrick Bamford, Pablo Hernandez, Conor Shaughnessy and Gaetano Berardi unavailable as they all remain on the sidelines.
Leeds will be full of confidence heading into Saturday’s lunch-time kick-off as they prepare for the visit of Brentford.
The visitors are not short of their own confidence, with the Bees currently sitting inside the playoffs at the moment.
Douglas is just the latest setback to Bielsa’s injury concerns, however, Pearce should look to use it as a chance to impress the Argentine and put himself into contention in the future if he is given the opportunity.
