Leeds United will look to return to winning ways when they meet Rotherham United at the New York Stadium on Saturday.
The Whites were beaten by Stoke City in their last fixture and Marcelo Bielsa will want to see an immediate improvement from his team.
And he may have received some encouraging news ahead of the game with The Millers.
Speaking to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Bielsa revealed that Patrick Bamford was back in training and could return to first-team action soon – although the game against Rotherham has come too quickly.
“Bamford started to train normally today,” he said.
“He will increase the tempo next week and in about ten days he will play an under-23s game and he will be available for the first team.”
Kiko Casilla will make his debut for Leeds, whilst Pontus Jansson will begin serving his suspension following the red card he received against Stoke.
Bamford’s pending return will be encouraging news for Bielsa and Leeds as they look to keep their promotion ambitions alive.
The striker has missed the majority of their Championship campaign so far and will surely fill like a new signing once he does make another return to the pitch.
Eyes will also be on Casilla on Saturday as many will be eager to see what the former Real Madrid ‘keeper will be able to bring to Elland Road.
