Leeds United will look to try and reclaim their place at the top of the Championship table once again when they head to the University of Bolton Stadium to face Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been in fine form recently and will look to build on their four-match unbeaten run when they travel to the division’s second-bottom club.
Patrick Bamford could be in line to make an earlier-than-expected return to the senior side following his serious knee injury.
The summer signing played in a developmental game earlier in the week and managed to bag himself a hat-trick, which could force Bielsa into putting him into his squad for the Championship match.
Leeds will continue to be without Luke Ayling, Gaetano Berardi, Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas and Tom Pearce, whilst it is believed the game may have come too quickly for Izzy Brown as well.
Having Bamford available will be a huge boost for Leeds and Bielsa, especially given the time period of his return.
With the striker not thought to have been available until early 2019, his return will likely feel like a new arrival and one that Elland Road will be delighted to have back on the pitch.
Bamford will want to hit the ground running after a miserable start to life at Leeds, and if given the chance, the game against a struggling Bolton side could be the perfect opportunity for him to do so.
