The Leeds United fans in and around the Transfer Tavern are really hoping for a good summer transfer window, knowing that if they strengthen well they could look to challenge for promotion once again.
Leeds went on a barren run that ended in the Lilywhites finishing 13th and considering they were in the play-off places at Christmas time, that really proves how badly Leeds ended their campaign. They simply have to improve all over the pitch ahead of next season and the loan signing of Leicester’s Hamza Choudhury could go a long wait to doing that.
The young man was given the opportunity by manager Claude Puel at the end of the season to prove his worth, and so he did during the eight games he played. The big, physical midfielder didn’t look one bit out of place and proved certainly that his prior loan spells in the Championship have helped him improve as a player. With the 20-year-old’s valuation only at £900k according to Transfermarkt, Leeds could certainly grab themselves a bargain ahead of the new season and one which could blossom into a top player for Leeds.
Having struggled massively all over the pitch, the addition of Hamza Choudhury isn’t enough by himself but with the acquisition of more as well as the central-midfielder, Leeds would be on the right path to go closer to their prime goal next season – promotion. If he could show the form he has done for Leicester in the last few games, Choudhury could be one of the better and smarter signings this summer, do you agree?
