Leeds United should target a summer reunion with enforcing £3.15m-rated lynchpin

The Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern are extremely disappointed with how their season ended, with the Whites closer to relegation than promotion.

In December, you would never have believed that was true because Leeds were flying high in the play-off places but after a barren run of form abruptly ended all hopes of going back to the top flight of English football, the Yorkshire giants have been down in the dumps ever since.

The team is massively in need of a lift and what better way to provide that than bring back fan-favourite Kyle Bartley back to the club. After his successful loan spell with the Lilywhites last season, the defender, who is valued at £3.15 million on Transfermarkt would be a great signing to make on a permanent basis given the strong performances he consistently put in for the side.

Bartley has found game time at Swansea extremely hard to come by this season and, should he want to improve his game at the age of 26, what better way to do it than to return to the club where he was so good? Leeds must spend in the upcoming transfer window if they’re to have any chance of amending their dire fortunes of late to succeed in the Championship again.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Kyle Bartley was a brilliant player for Leeds whilst on-loan at the club and it was a shame not to see him signed permanently when they had the chance. Now, it’s fair to say, the Lilywhites need him more than ever and his return could provide a much-needed boost around Elland Road.
