Leeds United simply must win the race for 32-goal £315k-rated striker this summer

Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for the season to end with the club languishing in 14th place in the Championship table – a massive 18 points behind the play-off places.

The Whites have been forced to settle for a mid-table place after failing to reach the heights of last season where they narrowly missed out on the play-off places. Despite a good start to the season, a poor run of form led to their downfall.

Summer signings are needed if Leeds are to challenge at the top of the table again and secure a long-awaited return to the Premier League. Plenty of names have been linked with a move to Elland Road including Peterborough striker – Jack Marriott.

Marriott has been the star of the season in League One, netting a remarkable 27 goals in 44 appearances. The forward has also netted five goals in the FA Cup taking his season tally to 32.

With Peterborough unable to secure promotion, the Posh will not be able to keep hold of their star forward. According to the Bristol Post, the club are ready to cash in on the forward in the summer who is valued at just £315k by Transfermarkt.

The 23-year-old could fetch around £5m with a host of clubs interested in his services including Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday. Beating their rivals to his signature would be a massive statement of intent from Leeds.

Marriott would add much-needed goals to the side and give Leeds a striker capable of firing them towards the Premier League.

Leeds fans, would Jack Marriott be the man to fire the Whites to promotion? Let us know!
