Leeds United look to replace Evans with managerial appointment of 42-year-old

Steve EvansCould Leeds be set for yet another manager? Their fans here in the Tavern are starting to believe that they will soon have a World Cup winning captain in their dugout.

Many of the Leeds fans in here are not too positive about their current owner, the controversial Massimo Cellino and he could be set to wield the axe again as he strives for a quick fix.

Current boss Steve Evans has only been in the job since October but a lack of any real progress could see Cellino again changing his man in charge and he looks set to go for the biggest name yet.

42-year-old Fabio Cannavaro, who lifted the World Cup as Italy captain in 2006, could be set to team up with fellow Italian Cellino at Elland Road in the near future, according to The Daily Mail.

He does at least have managerial experience, albeit in the Far East in China and Saudi Arabia but is he really likely to improve a side struggling in the Championship.

One thing Leeds fans really want now is some stability and somebody that understands the league and how to win in it so it is unlikely that Cannavaro will fall into that category, although he is a big name and would attract some further attention to what is going on there.

Would Cannavaro be a good boss for Leeds? Let us know in the comments below!
