Leeds United appear to have hit a rough patch with their recent form, having taken just six points from their last five matches.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side had been leading the Championship table after a quick start to the season, however, his team have since struggled to pick up all three points from their matches.
The Whites currently sit second in the table after ten games, one point behind leaders West Bromwich Albion.
Bielsa has been rather honest in the interviews with the media when questioned about certain areas and that appears to have continued.
The Poland international had been out of favour under Thomas Christensen and Paul Heckingbottom, however, he has become a key man for the Elland Road outfit this season.
Bielsa admitted he misjudged the £1.58million-rated midfielder, as per Transfermarkt, as he looked to play him in defence at times.
“He is a very influential player in the team. The space that he has now inside the team is linked to what he brings to the team,” he told Leeds Live.
“Actually, it’s more his responsibility, his influence inside the team than the work that I did with him.
“He was very patient during the pre-season work and he tolerated many mistakes I have made evaluating him as a footballer.
“During the pre-season, he even played as a centre-back, so obviously was very patient with the analysis I did of him.
“Then things happened, Adam Forshaw got injured and he has improved on each game, he was playing better.”
Klich has turned out to be one of Bielsa’s main men this season as he continues to put in solid performances for the Whites.
The Poland international has managed to step his game up and has also scored a number of key goals to help the Elland Road outfit add points to their tally – including the wonder strike against Sheffield Wednesday on Friday.
With the departure of Ronaldo Vieira and Adam Forshaw’s injury, the centre of midfield had looked short of quality options, however, the 28-year-old has certainly stepped up and made the position his.
