Things are starting to become a bit of a nightmare for Marcelo Bielsa and his Leeds United team.
First, Patrick Bamford was struck down with a posterior cruciate ligament injury that will see him miss out on four months of the season.
Bielsa has confirmed that the striker will be absent for the Championship fixture against the Lions after he received a kick, forcing him to be out of contention.
This setback is just the latest of a number that the Elland Road outfit have received this week, with Gaetano Berardi and Pablo Hernandez also remaining unavailable for selection.
With Roofe and Bamford out, Bielsa could turn to the likes of Tyler Roberts, Jack Clarke or Ryan Edmondson to lead the line, against a side who they have failed to beat in the last four fixtures away from home.
Bielsa and Leeds will be devastated to have lost Roofe to injury now, following the news they received about Bamford.
The attacker has been in red-hot form for the Whites this season and has certainly appeared to have been given a new lease of life under the Argentine boss.
However, with both of those absent, it could be the perfect opportunity for one of the club’s youngsters to step up and help Leeds record their first win at the New Den since March 2012.
