The transfer window in England may be over for another summer, however, Marcelo Bielsa looks pretty impressed with some of the younger talents at Leeds United.
The Argentine took over at the start of the summer and had worked hard to get a number of his targets through the doors at Elland Road.
He managed to make a couple of additions, however, it appears that he may use some of his youngsters during the Championship season as he revealed that four of his academy talents have impressed him.
“[Tom] Pearce is one of the youngsters,” he told Leeds Live when asked who he ranks highest.
“Tyler Roberts is a young player too. [Jamie] Shackleton is also a youngster. [Conor] Shaughnessy also belongs to this group.”
Leeds certainly have talented players coming through the academy ranks and it may not be too long to see these four men appearing for the club in a senior role more often.
Shaughnessy and Pearce both made impressions during last season’s efforts and could see more action, with both versatile and giving Bielsa added options in certain areas.
Shackleton and Roberts are both players with huge potential and the Argentine’s comments could suggest they may get their chances sooner rather than later.
