Leeds United managed to offload a number of their players in the summer, and despite all the injury concerns they have suffered recently, it appears Marcelo Bielsa remains happy with the decision.
The experienced coach has created a fairly mixed group, with a number of young players being given the opportunity to shine on the Championship level, especially considering all the injuries that have been sustained this season.
“We have 15 players and a group of young players, but I wouldn’t change any of the players I have and not many people can say that,” Bielsa told the club’s official website.
“We have five or six young players with good possibilities, so this club has a good football health and all of the players are pretty young.”
Leeds are currently playing extremely well under Bielsa and it is no surprise that he is happy with the squad he has, despite it looking threadbare in places as injuries start to mount up.
The Argentine oversaw a number of departures in the summer as he looked to trim the side down and has also shown plenty of faith in the younger talent he has available this season.
The Whites will want to get a positive result against Birmingham City on Saturday at Elland Road and may have just given his players the confidence to go and get a result.
