Marcelo Bielsa has revealed that one of his players is currently nowhere near fit enough to turn out for Leeds United at the moment.
The midfielder joined from Chelsea on the final day of the loan window on a season-long deal, following both Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman to Elland Road.
Brown is still making his way back to fitness after he suffered a serious knee injury back in January whilst with Brighton and Hove Albion and Bielsa conceded that it would be impossible to say when he will be ready to make a return.
“It’s (Brown) a very different case,” he told TeamTALK when asked about his decision to play players in the Under-23’s before making a return to the first-team.
“It’s been a long time since he played, he hasn’t played football with us so far. It’s impossible to say when he will be fit. It won’t be a short time.”
Brown will be hoping to make an impact for Leeds during his time at the club, however, it does not appear that will be anytime soon.
The Whites currently have a number of injury concerns at the moment, which does not help Bielsa’s side, but with his admission that it is impossible to know when the Chelsea loanee can feature it causes further issues.
The midfielder is a talented player when he gets going and has the opportunity, however, he may not be seen at Elland Road playing for a long time yet.
