Derby County failed to get the better of Brighton and Hove Albion in yesterday’s FA Cup fifth round encounter at the Amex, as a late Ashley Cole goal wasn’t enough to save the day.
The Rams will now turn their attention towards securing a play-off place, with Middlesbrough and Bristol City currently ahead of Frank Lampard’s side.
Much to the delight of supporters, Derby recently received a huge boost on the injury front, as according to the Derby Telegraph, Mason Mount is set to return to training on Monday.
Indeed, the midfielder has missed the last three games with a hamstring problem, but he now looks set to return to training on Monday.
“Mason is ready (to train). Whether he can start Wednesday against Millwall, I don’t know,”
It comes as a huge boost that Mount is ready to train and can possibly start against Millwall as he was one of the club’s standout performers during the first half of the season.
Mason Mount looks set to return at the perfect time for the Rams as they find themselves just outside of the play-off places on goal difference, so they’ll be hoping that the Englishman can make the difference.
Indeed, the attack-minded youngster already has an impressive six goals and three assists to his name this season, so he’ll be influential from here on in.
