Nottingham Forest are unbeaten in their last three Championship fixtures so they’ll feel as if they can get the job done in the East Midlands derby today.
Martin O’Neill’s side have definitely improved in recent times but they’re still yet to really hit top form under the Northern Irishman.
Forest will need to be at their best later on today as they’ll welcome play-off chasers Derby County to the City Ground in their next Championship fixture.
And, it appears as if O’Neill will be without Matty Cash for today’s clash, as according to BBC Sport’s pre-match team news, the Englishman remains doubtful with an Achilles problem.
However, Nottingham Forest may recall Ben Watson and Saidy Janko for the East Midlands derby after resting both for their last game against Preston North End.
Matty Cash, who is valued at £2.25 million (by Transfermarkt), has been one of the standout performers for Nottingham Forest in the current campaign, so they’ll be desperate to welcome him back sometime soon.
Indeed, it appears as if today’s match will come too soon for the 21-year-old as he remains doubtful, but welcoming Saidy Janko and Ben Watson back into the side will come as a big boost.
