West Brom have endured a mixed start to the season, experiencing fully how challenging the Championship can be.
As they have known before, the league is a complicated one and if they aren’t on form, anyone has the ability to beat anyone.
West Brom have kept a large chunk of the players that were with them during the Premier League days and if they want to get back into the top flight, more players who have experienced the best league in the world are needed at the Hawthorns.
A hardworking midfielder that could do a steady job for West Brom is Leicester outcast Matty James.
James, who is valued at £1.3 million on Transfermarkt, is a player that would fit right in at West Brom and could be a inspired signing during the January transfer window.
He has suffered massively with injuries and still does currently but when fit, he is a midfielder that would provide the Baggies with a lot more fight and desire to play for the badge.
The 27-year-old will be desperate to make his return to the pitch soon but with Leicester building their team more and more, they may no longer look at Matty James as a strong option for them.
In that case, West Brom can be the club to offer him a move away to get regular game-time that will improve him during the latter years of his career.
The Englishman is a good passer, a committed midfielder and someone who doesnt mind getting stuck in. The Championship requires those types of players and the Baggies would be silly not to pursue a deal to sign Matty James.
