Our Nottingham Forest fans here in the Transfer Tavern are feeling happy right now with the way their club seems to be handling things.
Indeed, after a summer that saw a change of ownership and some good signings made – balanced out by the big money selling of Britt Assombalonga – Forest got off to winning ways with a win over Millwall last Friday.
Then, they followed that up with a 2-1 win over Shrewsbury in the League Cup and today the club has kept the positive momentum going with Gary Brazil signing a new deal to stay as assistant manager.
The experienced Brazil has signed a new long-term deal – as confirmed by the club on their site and on Twitter – and that should come as the latest positive sign for the club.

For sure, it’s the latest sign that things are nicely settled at Forest now and after last season saw them flirt with relegation, our local Reds fans will be hoping that they can now kick on towards the top half of the table.
Forest seem to be getting things right both on and off the pitch at the moment.
Of course, it’s early days in the season but they have started it as well as they can and their fans here in the bar certainly seem pleased with the Brazil appointment.
Now we’ll just have to see if they can translate all this positivity into a top year.
