Nottingham Forest should eye swoop for Younes Kaboul and Nakhi Wells

Nottingham Forest should eye swoop for Younes Kaboul and Nakhi Wells

Nottingham Forest have enjoyed a rather solid start to their Championship campaign as they continue to strive towards promotion to the Premier League.

Aitor Karanka has certainly made a number of changes this summer as he looks to build a side that can challenge for promotion. But, with the loan window open until the end of the month, perhaps supporters will see a couple more players make their way to the City Ground.

Indeed, Forest couldn’t ensure consistency and didn’t have a particularly strong squad in the last campaign as they finished in the bottom half of the table. Although, with the owners splashing the cash and a number of Portuguese youngsters at the club this time around, perhaps this is the year for Forest fans.

One name that Nottingham Forest should be taking a look at is Watford’s Younes Kaboul, who is currently plying his trade in the Premier League.

The Frenchman has lost his way completely at Vicarage Road as he continues to stagnate behind the scenes, with a loan move away this summer being possible. Indeed, the Championship club looked shaky at times last season and could do with an experienced customer at the heart of the defence, so they shouldn’t hesitate to move for the former Tottenham Hotspur man.

Also, Forest could do with bringing a player to the club that has proven himself in the Championship and can offer that something different to help fire them to promotion. Indeed, Burnley’s Nakhi Wells may just be that man.

The 28-year-old hasn’t been able to showcase his talents in the Premier League as he finds himself down the pecking order at Turf Moor. But, he has shown that he can score goals on a consistent basis in the Championship during his time at Huddersfield Town, finding the back of the net 45 times over the course of four seasons.
