Nottingham Forest have been in impressive form recently as they’ve gone unbeaten in their last five Championship fixtures.
Aitor Karanka will be desperate to secure another three points later on today as his side welcome Preston North End to the City Ground. The Lilywhites have failed to win in their last two Championship fixtures, so Forest will fancy themselves to put in another incredible performance in front of home support.
Sadly, it looks as if Forest will be without three first-team members for today’s game, as according to BBC Sport’s pre-match team news, Tobias Figueiredo is serving the second of his three-game ban, while Danny Fox and Hilal Soudani remain out on the sidelines.
Danny Fox, who has been one of the key players for Aitor Karanka this season, is currently struggling with a foot injury, so he won’t feature yet again today.
Also, Hilal Soudani remains out on the sidelines with a knee injury, so he won’t get the opportunity to add to the two goals he’s already scored this season.
Lastly, Tobias Figueiredo is set to serve the second of his three-game suspension later on today after receiving his marching orders against Aston Villa.
Fox and Figueiredo have been two of the standout performers for Nottingham Forest in the current campaign, so they will be dearly missed against a physical Preston North End side.
Although, Soudani hasn’t really managed to secure a regular first team place this season and has only really been used as an impact substitute, so this won’t worry them too much.
