Leeds United have enjoyed plenty of success in the final-third this season with Kemar Roofe spearheading the attack, while Tyler Roberts proved his potential when the club's talisman was sidelined through injury.

An early season injury setback for Patrick Bamford has left Roofe with the responsibility of firing Leeds towards a promotion charge during the early openings of the campaign.

Roofe is technically superior and more accomplished in possession of the ball compared to Bamford, and that suits Marcelo Bielsa's free-flowing system.

But despite boasting a strong trio of attacking talents to call upon, Biesla is interested in signing a new striker this season, according to TEAMtalk.

The report claims that Leeds are one of four Championship clubs in the race to sign Leyton Orient striker, Macauley Bonne.

Leyton Orient are currently top of the National League table and they have Bonne to thank for their success so far this season.

The 23-year-old talisman has netted 15 times in just 21 appearances for the club, including a hat-trick in a 5-1 thumping over Braintree in September.

Making the step up in class from the National League to the Championship would be a huge ask for Bonne to make, but Jamie Vardy's fairytale journey from non-league goal machine to Premier League winner and England international suggests that he could be the next big thing to make the jump, especially with his prolific record to consider.

But regardless of whether Leeds manage to seal a deal for Bonne, the news will arrive as bad news for Roberts at a time when he was beginning to establish himself at Elland Road.

With Bamford set to return in the coming weeks Roberts is likely to find himself as third-choice striker once again, so adding Bonne to the equation would leave him in a precarious situation, which would almost certainly force him to move away from the club in search of first-team opportunities, whether it be on loan or permanently.

Delightful strikes against both Preston North End and Hull City hinted at a glowing future for Roberts at Leeds, but the latest report revealing their interest in another centre-forward indicates that he may not be as highly regarded as the Elland Road faithful might have thought.
