Pontus Jansson could return for Leeds

Leeds United will be looking to extend their unbeaten run on Saturday when they head to Carrow Road on Saturday to face Norwich City.

And, according to the club’s official website, Marcelo Bielsa will be without two of his players for their clash with the Canaries.

Adam Forshaw will continue to remain unavailable due to the foot injury he picked up in pre-season, which had required surgery.

The Whites have also been rocked with the news that skipper Liam Cooper has also been sidelined and could miss a significant portion of their Championship season.

It is understood the defender picked up a hamstring injury and could be out for around a month.

However, that blow could be eased as Pontus Jansson could be ready to return to action for the Elland Road outfit, which will be a timely boost for Bielsa’s side.

The Swede had missed the last game due to a knock he received and will be looking to work his way back into the first-team, having missed pre-season after taking an extended break following his performances at the World Cup.

Stuart Dallas is also in line for a return to the side following his return to training after an absence with a quad injury.

The Verdict:

Leeds will have been boosted by the news that Jansson is available for their clash with Norwich on Saturday.

The defender has proven to be one of their main players since arriving at Elland Road and Bielsa will be pleased to have him back in contention.

Cooper will be a miss for the Whites, however, with the Swede back, the Argentine will feel confident that his side can produce the positive result he wants to keep them at the top of the Championship.
