Ten starts, seven goals and two assists is the kind of prolific opening to the campaign which any promotion-chasing side would hope and expect to see from their star-striker, and that's exactly what Kemar Roofe has provided for Leeds United at the spearhead of the attack.

The converted striker's success is a quintessential example of the positive impact which Marcelo Bielsa has had on the club, with his record in front of goal merely reflecting a marked improvement in the overall quality of his play - not just as a goal-hungry poacher.

In a free-flowing system implemented by El Loco which necessitates the striker to drop deep to contribute to the build-up play and also embrace a dynamic mindset on the counter-attack, Roofe has showcased an expansive style of play which hones in on his breadth of qualities.

But unfortunately for Leeds United the very nature of his success demands at least a glimmer of interest from Premier League clubs, and Roofe is no exception to the rule.

Indeed, according to a recent report from the Sunday Mirror (via Birmingham Live), Wolves, Crystal Palace and Southampton are all keeping tabs on Roofe following his fantastic start to the season.

It's a report which carries a feeling of inevitability. Roofe's prolific record was hardly likely to go unnoticed by sides who are struggling for firepower in the top-tier, but the Whites faithful should not be concerned by the emerging interest.

Indeed, the esteemed interest provides yet another reminder of the extent of Bielsa's genius impact since joining the club, as his managerial style has clearly sparked a rapid improvement in the quality of Roofe's performances.

With that in mind and Leeds' promotion charge also to consider, what motivation does Roofe have to depart Elland Road in the mid-season window when he is starring for a side who are potentially on the cusp of ending a 15-year exile from the top-flight?

While Roofe will undoubtedly be flattered by reports it seems incredibly implausible that he will be entertaining the chance to leave the club before this season has finished.

After all, he owes it to Bielsa to stick with the Whites and see through out the objective which he will undoubtedly be instrumental to achieving this season.

Bielsa is the man who has provided Roofe with the platform, confidence and opportunity from which to thrive this season and the Argentine deserves great credit for that, and his wonderful ability to bring the best out of individual players has simply been reinforced by the emergence of Premier League interest in the club's most talismanic figurehead.
