QPR looking to allow a number of players to leave in January

Queens Park Rangers could look to improve their squad in the January transfer window as they continue to mount a charge for a playoff spot in the Championship.

Steve McClaren’s side have had a mixed run of results recently, but they currently find themselves in tenth and entered the international break with a good 3-2 victory against Brentford.

The Rs could look to make some additions in the winter to help them further improve, however, it appears that a number of players could be about to depart as well.

According to a report by West London Sport, Idrissa Sylla is free to leave, whilst QPR plan to loan out a handful of players.

The likes of Sean Goss, Paul Smyth, Osman Kakay, Ilias Chair, Niko Hamalainen and Giles Phillips have all been mentioned in regards to possibly leaving Loftus Road on temporary deals.

The Verdict:

It does not come as a surprise that Sylla is one of those men to be mentioned about being offloaded as the striker is clearly deemed surplus to requirements.

QPR are believed to have tried to get him off their books for a while as he does not feature in McClaren’s plans.

It looks as though the Loftus Road outfit could be extremely busy in January, however, it remains to be seen if any possible suitors come in for the players they have made available to leave.
