QPR team news: McClaren could name unchanged side for Millwall visit

Queens Park Rangers will be looking to continue their run of form with a victory against London rivals Millwall on Wednesday evening.

Steve McClaren’s side had a tough start to the Championship campaign, having lost their first four fixtures of the season which included a 7-1 drubbing by West Bromwich Albion.

However, the Loftus Park outfit have since turned things around and will want to ensure they are not on the wrong end of a result in what will be a tense encounter with their city rivals.

And, according to a match preview by Sky Sports, QPR could look to field an unchanged side as McClaren has no fresh concerns ahead of the meeting with Millwall.

Josh Scowen is thought to be making excellent progress as he looks to recover from a knee injury and could be available to feature.

However, Darnell Furlong and Sean Goss are both out with injuries, whilst Olamide Shodipo has been ruled out for four months following surgery on a thigh problem.

The Verdict:

QPR will be confident of continuing their current form, however, Millwall have proven to be a tough test in the past.

McClaren will be pleased that he can call upon the same squad that recorded an away win against Bolton Wanderers last weekend.

However, he will be concerned with the news that Shodipo will be out of action for around four months and will want to see his players step up in the winger’s absence.
