Leeds United fans here in the Tavern will be desperate for their side to enjoy promotion next season after struggling to ensure consistency last time out.
Paul Heckingbottom is still yet to prove his worth after being appointed as Thomas Christiansen’s successor back in February. Indeed, the former Barnsley boss hasn’t been able to ensure consistency at all, as the Whites look to have taken a step backwards.
Although, one positive to take away from this season was Tom Pearce and Bailey Peacock-Farrell’s rise to stardom, as Leeds United appear to have uncovered two future stars.
So, the Whites’ majority owner Andrea Radrizzani may look to save his cash by putting his trust in the club’s youth system, as there’re still a number of exciting prospects waiting for their turn in the first-team.
Without further ado, Radrizzani must be begging Heckingbottom to promote these TWO youngsters…
Interestingly, the U-23s shot-stopper’s form this season saw him called up to the England U20 setup.
Indeed, the 19-year-old will no doubt look at Bailey Peacock-Farrell for inspiration next season, as he could push for a place in the first-team himself while Leeds assess their goalkeeping situation.
And, having trained with the first-team on occasions, it looks as if Leeds United have another goalkeeping sensation waiting in the youth ranks.
The Bulgarian has started life promisingly at Leeds United following his summer move from Spain, with his predatory instincts beginning to kick in.
Last season he scored a remarkable 30 goals for Barca’s Juvenil B team to help them lift the title and he has already established himself in England having scored a number of goals.
So, with Leeds currently struggling for attacking options, perhaps they should look to promote the youngster after witnessing a couple of his impressive performances this season.
