Marcelo Bielsa has been credited with transforming a handful of individuals since arriving at Elland Road, including Kemar Roofe.
Roofe’s ability to thrive at this level was already obvious before Bielsa took the reigns at Leeds, but there is no doubt the Argentine has enabled the clinical attacker to step up another level under his leadership.
But fine performances do not arrive without permutations, and Roofe is no exception to the rule.
His goal scoring return and all-round performances are bound to draw interest from afar, and a recent report from Italian media outlet Blog Sicilia suggests that Palermo are admirers.
The report claims that the Serie B league leaders have already made contact with Leeds over a deal, with a fee in the region of just €5-6 million (£4.5-5.4 million) enough to tempt Victor Orta and Andrea Radrizzani to cash in on the star striker.
With Leeds flying high near the summit of the Championship table and looking increasingly likely to end their top-flight exile this season, the latest report will be giving the Elland Road faithful cause for concern.
If the Whites are to achieve their ultimate aim of promotion they will need Roofe to continue firing at the spearhead of the attack, but interest from afar could disrupt his brilliant run of form.
The prospect of moving in the mid season window is unlikely to carry too much pulling power for a player who is simply adored by Leeds fans, but with Palermo looking strong at the top of Serie B it is easy to see why they have identified Roofe as a player who could help to seal their own promotion ambition.
