Portsmouth will be looking to extend their lead at the top of League One with a win against Gillingham on Saturday.
Pompey will host the Gills at Fratton Park on Saturday as Kenny Jackett will want to see his side retain their unbeaten status in the league.
The club have been made one of the favourites to be promoted to the Championship next season and one of their men believes that they can go even further in the coming years.
Ronan Curtis has stated that he feels Portsmouth should be back in the Premier League and is determined to help the club get back to a division he feels they belong in.
Speaking to the Portsmouth News, he said: “This club should be in the Championship and the Premier League.
“I’m ambitious and we all know where we want to be.
“If you ask any footballer, they are going to say they want to be in the Prem.
“The Prem is the best league and that’s where I want to be.
“We’re playing well and hopefully we can get back to where we belong.”
Curtis started his Portsmouth career in fine form, having joined from Derry City in the summer.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international has made a flying start to life at Fratton Park, helping himself to six goals and five assists including the winner against Coventry City last time out.
The 22-year-old is certainly full of confidence and ambition, however, the season is a marathon and not a sprint, so it remains to see if Pompey will last the distance this year, let alone if they can compete in the Championship possible next season.
