Leeds United’s Under-23s came out victorious against Barnsley following a 4-1 in which 17-year-old starlet Ryan Edmondson scored a hattrick. Barnsley opened the scoring through Tai-Reece Chisholm before Edmondson equalised, Sam Dalby put the Whites in the lead early in the second half then Edmondson scored a further brace to seal the deal.
For someone of such a young age to be scoring hattricks against an under-23 opposition is startling and it has certainly got the Leeds fans talking.
With that being said, let’s take a look at some of the responses to the tweet of the scoreline and report put out by Leeds.

One fan was particularly eager to see Edmondson featuring for the first-team again as soon as possible.
Brilliant @Ryan_edmondson9 hopefully giving Bielsa an option from the bench tomorrow

Another fan brought him back to earth remembering he had just played the full game.
Not sure if he'll be in the squad the day after playing a full 90

This fan managed to see the humorous side of his impressive performances.
Not to heap pressure on the lad but surely he has one eye on Shearer's record

Other fans were full of praise for the teenager.
