Sharp and Basham remain out, Egan returns

Sharp and Basham remain out, Egan returns - Championship

Sheffield United now find themselves in a promising position in the race for an automatic promotion place after getting the better of Nottingham Forest last time out, with Leeds’ defeat at the hands of Wigan Athletic helping Chris Wilder’s side massively.

However, the Blades shouldn’t underestimate their opponents today. Sheffield United are set to travel to the KCOM Stadium to face Hull City in what will be an extremely difficult game.

What’s the News?

One positive for the Blades prior to kick-off today is the fact that John Egan is set to return from his one-match suspension, according to BBC Sport’s pre-match team news.

Although, the likes of Billy Sharp and Chris Basham remain out with hamstring problems.

Wilder will demand a lot more from his players with the experienced duo set to sit out once again.

Sheffield United will feel as if they’re almost there if they can just get today’s game out of the way, as they’re set to face the likes of Ipswich Town and Stoke City in their remaining two games.

John Egan returning to the squad will be huge for the Blades as they’ll need him to be at his best to keep the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Kamil Grosicki out at the KCOM Stadium.

Sharp and Basham’s absence shouldn’t be too much of a worry as they’ve shown they can perform without them.
