Sheffield United will host Reading at Bramall Lane on Saturday as they look to keep their promotion charge on track.
Chris Wilder’s side managed to bounce back from a disappointing 3-3 draw to Aston Villa with a 1-0 win against Middlesbrough in midweek.
The three points will potentially take The Blades to the top of the Championship table, however, struggling Reading have started to turn things around.
And, the game could be made even more difficult for the hosts as a couple of key men are unavailable for the encounter.
According to the club’s official website, George Baldock has been ruled out with a calf injury that he picked up in the victory over Middlesbrough.
Chris Basham is also unavailable as he continues to serve his suspension after he picked up his tenth yellow card in the match against Aston Villa.
Wilder will know the game against Reading will be a great opportunity to potentially go to the top of the Championship, especially with Leeds United not in action for another week.
However, with The Royals appearing to pick up some form, it could be a tough afternoon for The Blades on Saturday afternoon in front of the Bramall Lane crowd.
Basham and Baldock’s absences could come as huge blows for the hosts, as both have been key performers throughout the campaign so far.
