Sheffield Wednesday will travel to St Andrew’s to take on Birmingham City as they look to stop the current rot they find themselves in.
The Owls have suffered back-to-back defeats at the hands of Middlesbrough and Queens Park Rangers and have slipped down the Championship table.
Jos Luhukay has seen his side perform well prior to those two matches and will be looking for them to improve greatly when they face the Blues on Saturday – a side who are unbeaten in their last ten.
Daniel Pudil has been ruled out of the game against Birmingham after he was struck by a stray boot in the face during their defeat to QPR on Tuesday.
The Owls’ injury concerns do not show any signs of easing either, with Fernando Forestieri, Joost van Aken and Marco Matias all still unavailable for Luhukay to select.
Sheffield Wednesday will want to get back to within touching distance of the playoffs, however, their injury crisis continues to hit the club hard.
Pudil’s absence will have dealt Wednesday a huge blow in getting a positive result as the Czech Republic international has featured in a number of positions this season, including at centre-back.
Forestieri’s absence is also a blow for Luhukay’s side, although Lucas Joao could look to lead the line once again in his absence.
