Sheffield Wednesday will head to Bramall Lane for the first Steel City Derby when they meet Sheffield United on Friday night.
The Owls will be heading into the game in a poor run of form, having not been able to record a win in their last four matches, having suffered defeat in all of those.
Jos Luhukay will want his side to react and be ready for the test against their arch-rivals when the two teams meet.
Luhukay has revealed that both Fernando Forestieri and Marco Matias are ahead of schedule and could feature in the Steel City Derby.
The pair have both been on the sidelines with hamstring injuries but have been back in training for the last two weeks.
“Fernando Forestieri and Marco Matias have trained very well last week and this week with no problems,” he said.
“So maybe we think about these two players for Friday that they can help the team.”
The availability of both Forestieri and Matias will be a huge boost to Sheffield Wednesday and Luhukay.
The Owls have struggled to score goals since the pair have been out on the sidelines and their returns should help to give them a confidence up front again.
However, Luhukay will know that his side will need to improve defensively against the Blades, as they have conceded ten goals in their last three games.
