Sheffield United should take a look at Josh Onomah and Lucas Piazon

Sheffield United haven’t enjoyed the best of starts to their Championship campaign as they continue to lack a cutting edge and often leak goals.

Chris Wilder has worked wonders since joining the club and he will do his upmost to ensure that Sheffield United challenge for promotion once again this season. Indeed, the Blades found themselves in the automatic promotion and play-off places at times last season, but nothing came of it in the end as they struggled to keep the pace.

And, it’s fair to say that they don’t look anywhere near the side they were last season, despite strengthening over the course of the summer. But, with the loan window still open until the end of the month, perhaps the Blades will bring in quality as they seek improvements.

One name that Sheffield United could take a look at is a Premier League player that spent the whole of last season in the Championship, and that is Josh Onomah.

The Englishman spent the whole of last season on loan at Villa Park, where he managed to notch himself four goals and provided three assists. Indeed, the Blades are in need of some creativity in attacking areas and the middle of midfield, so perhaps Josh Onomah’s pace and power can help push them up the table.

Also, the Blades could do with adding a player that has experienced promotion to the Premier League and can offer something different in the final third. Indeed, a loan move for Chelsea’s Lucas Piazon wouldn’t go a miss.

Interestingly, the Brazilian enjoyed promotion to the Premier League with Fulham last season before returning to his parent club Chelsea. And, it’s fair to say that he won’t be a part of Maurizio Sarri’s plans this season as he is yet to really show what he’s capable of. So, a loan move back to the Championship should help him rediscover some form in a division that he knows he can thrive in.
