Sheffield Wednesday will be looking ahead to their home clash with West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday night at Hillsborough.
The Owls will have been buoyed by a positive result against Leeds United at the weekend and Jos Luhukay will want to see his side use that momentum to their advantage.
Wednesday are on an impressive spell and have only lost once in their last seven Championship outings, although the current league leaders will give them a tough test.
Barry Bannan is unavailable for selection as he will be suspended for the tie after he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against Leeds.
Marco Matias has been ruled out with a hamstring injury and is expected to remain on the sidelines for a couple of weeks, whilst Joost van Aken and Kieran Lee are still a long way from first-team action.
Luhukay also has doubts for the game, with Ash Baker still looking to recover from the leg injury he picked up against the Whites, whilst Daniel Pudil could still play despite a broken nose.
Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to replicate last Friday’s performance against Leeds when they meet West Brom on Wednesday.
Luhukay’s task will have been made harder without Bannan, as the midfielder has played a key role for the Owls this season.
The Hillsborough outfit will, however, feel confident heading into the game as they have managed to prove that they can compete with those at the top and will want to ensure they do so again.
