Sheffield Wednesday team news: Luhukay has concerns ahead of Forest trip

Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to build on their recent run of good form when they meet Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Wednesday evening.

The Owls have a great record when it comes to playing against the Tricky Trees, having won the last five matches and Jos Luhukay will be keen for his team to continue that record.

However, according to a match preview by Sky Sports, the Hillsborough Stadium outfit will have a number of concerns ahead of the game.

Fernando Forestieri will continue to serve his three-match ban after his involvement in a brawl during a pre-season friendly.

Joost van Aken is also unavailable for the Owls as he remains sidelined with an ankle injury he picked up against Sunderland in the League Cup.

However, Luhukay has some positive injury news coming through the club, with the likes of Sam Winnall and Gary Hooper close to making a return to action.

Sam Hutchinson is another that could look to feature for Wednesday at the City Ground after recovering from a groin injury.

The Verdict:

Sheffield Wednesday will be considered favourites for the match on Wednesday against Nottingham Forest, considering the record they have against Nottingham Forest.

However, Luhukay will know that counts for nothing on the day and will want to see his side continue to put in the good performances that they have been able to do so recently.

The Owls will be pleased that some of their key players are verging on a return to action, although Forestieri could be a miss for the side.
