Spotted: Premier League relegation hasn’t hit Newcastle owner hard

Newcastle United’s relegation from the Premier League was a dismal moment for the club as a number of years of mismanagement caught up with them.

Missing out on survival to arch rivals Sunderland by just two points made it a particularly bitter pill to swallow for those on Tyneside.

While Rafa Benitez has been backed to the hilt in the transfer market as he plots an immediate return to the proverbial Promised Land, a number of top stars have left.

Clearly, the Magpies are dealing with the financial ramifications of dropping into England’s second-tier as best can be expected.

Still, the fact the likes of Andros Townsend, Georginio Wijnaldum, Daryl Jamaat and Moussa Sissoko were sold over the past few months is a gentle reminder of the club’s current standing.

However, relegation hasn’t had an impact on everyone connected with the club it seems.

A video (posted by journalist Simon Neville on Twitter) has emerged of club owner Mike Ashley.

Though a multi-billionaire walking about with money in his pocket is nothing new, the sheer amount of £50’s he pulls out is quite frankly staggering.

Could have spent that a couple years ago and avoided this mess Mikey boy!

How much blame can Ashley take for Newcastle’s current situation? Let us know below…
