Stuart Dallas and Liam Cooper expected to miss rest of 2018 through injury

When Leeds United and their current campaign have been the subject of a discussion, their injury problems will likely crop up into the conversation.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side do not appear to be able to get through a week without being dealt blow after blow when it comes down to players being on the sidelines.

And, things do not appear to be getting any better for the Whites in the immediate future.

According to a report by The Yorkshire Post, Bielsa has been dealt a double injury blow with Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas both expected to miss the rest of the 2018 action.

It is claimed Cooper will miss around six weeks after having surgery in Italy for his knee injury, whilst Dallas could be scheduled for the same sort of absence after he fractured a foot in the win against Sheffield United.

The Verdict:

Bielsa and Leeds just can not catch a break when it comes down to injuries this season and there does not seem to be anything they can do to try and limit them.

Cooper has been key at the back for the Whites this season, despite having looked suspect last season, whilst Dallas has played an important role in being versatile to suit the Argentine’s needs in certain positions – because of injuries to other players.

With the festive period about to kick in, Elland Road and Bielsa will be looking to come through the period with a Christmas miracle of their own and not have any more frustrating injury concerns to deal with.
