It’s set to be a busy cople of weeks down at Elland Road for Leeds United, where the managerial position still remains vacant with the summer period now in full-flow.
New owner Andrea Radrizzxani has plenty of work to do before he decides on a new boss to come in and take the reigns at Elland Road after the departure of Garry Monk and it’s an appointment that could decide the success the Whites have this campaign.
Having come so close to reaching the play-offs last time out, there will be increased pressure on the new gaffer to ensure the team this time make it one step closer.
But one man that might not be a part of any promotion push is Chris Wood, who has been linked increasingly with a move away from Yorkshire over the past few weeks.
The New Zealand international carried the Whites at times last season ad you can fully understand why there has been interest in his services. But moving forward, should the former Leicester City man leave the club, who should Leeds be lining up as a potential replacement?
Well, the Whites fans here at the bar have been talking and they seem to think that £8million-rated Everton striker Oumar Niasse could be an option, after showing good form in spells with Hull City during a loan switch last season.
He struggled at Everton following his move from Russia but during spells last time out, showed that he has the ability to have a positive effect here in England.
It’s clear that his future lies away from Goodison Park and should Leeds be able to bring the funds together to make a move, he could be a player worth gambling on, if Chris Wood does depart.
