These 2 Leeds United wonderkids really need to prove it next season

Leeds United fans here in the Tavern are hoping for a managerial change in the summer, as Paul Heckingbottom has offered very little since taking over back in February.

The Whites have been one of the most inconsistent teams in the Championship this season, as they went from early-season title contenders to struggling for points towards the end of the season. And, with many of our local residents wanting to see their side secure promotion in the next campaign, the club will need to make a number of changes over the course of the summer transfer window.

Although, having witnessed Bailey Peacock-Farrell’s rise to stardom in the current campaign, perhaps the club should look to bring a couple more youth players through to the first-team.

Therefore, Leeds may just uncover another hidden gem during pre-season as the club’s youngsters will be sure to step up their game with a first-team place possibly at stake. So, these TWO Leeds United wonderkids need to prove it…

Paudie O’Connor

Paudie O’Connor has enjoyed a run in the side towards the end of the current campaign but he hasn’t been able to assert his dominance just yet, as he has struggled to deal with pace and power in recent times.

Although, there’s no doubt that he could become one of the Whites’ star players in the future with a number of years still left to progress.

So, the 20-year-old will need to improve massively over the course of the summer as his first-team place is all but secured, with a successful pre-season helping him work towards earning more minutes in the side.

Kun Temenuzhkov

The Bulgarian forward joined the Under-23 side at the start of the season on a free after leaving Spanish giants Barcelona.

Sadly, the 18-year-old may have to wait for his first-team debut but there’s no doubt that he has the potential, having showed how prolific he is in front of goal during his time in Spain.

And, with a number of years still left for him to progress in the youth ranks at Leeds United, perhaps the club can utilise his talents over the course of the summer with a breakthrough season possibly on the cards.
