Sheffield Wednesday failed to grab all three points against Reading yesterday as Steve Bruce’s side were held to a 0-0 draw, despite dominating at Hillsborough.
The Owls will be desperate to return to winning ways against Millwall at the Den on Tuesday night, but it looks as if they’ll be without one of their key men, as according to The Star, Tom Lees is extremely doubtful.
Lees has been one of the standout performers for the Owls in the current campaign as a rock at the back, with his leadership qualities helping Steve Bruce’s side massively.
“He got a freak accident yesterday in training where he caught somebody’s stud. Like a bullet hole in the top of his shin near his knee.
“So there was no chance and I would think he’ll be extremely doubtful for Tuesday as well, he’s got a sore one.”
It comes as a big blow that the Englishman is extremely doubtful for Tuesday night’s game against Millwall as his strength and aerial ability would have played a big part against a very physical side.
The Owls don’t necessarily have anything to play for from here on in until the end of the season, but the players will still be desperate to give fans the results they desire.
