Sheffield Wednesday managed to secure a late draw against Rotherham United at the New York Stadium yesterday, as Dominic Iorfa netted the equaliser.
The Owls have gone unbeaten in their last five Championship matches, so they’ve certainly improved under the guidance of Steve Bruce. But, the Sheffield club received a big blow on the injury front recently, as according to the Sheffield Star, Tom Lees has suffered a setback in his recovery from injury.
Lees has sat-out the Owls’ last three outings due to his shin injury, and it appears as if things haven’t gone to plan in terms of his recovery.
“He trained on Wednesday but had a reaction.”
“He was sore on Thursday and Friday so we will see how he is.”
Indeed, Lees played a big part during the first half of the season and is the Owls’ leader at the heart of the defence, so they’ll be desperate to welcome him back soon.
Tom Lees, who is valued at £3.6 million (by Transfermarkt), has been real leader for Sheffield Wednesday this season, so it comes as a big blow as that the Owls will have to wait even longer to bring him back into the side.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
