Blackburn Rovers will host Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday afternoon as both sides look to start climbing the Championship table.
Both sides have had stars in the middle of their midfields this season, with Bradley Dack having excelled at Ewood Park, whilst Adam Reach has come into his own with his performances for the Owls at times.
The duo have been linked with moves away from their respective clubs in the recent past, with January being a possible time for clubs to step up their interest in the key men.
There is no doubt both are vital to Blackburn’s and Sheffield Wednesday’s ambitions for the season ahead, however, which player is better?
Dack joined the Lancashire outfit back in the summer of 2017 from Gillingham when they were in League One and was instrumental in helping them achieve promotion back to the Championship.
The 24-year-old has continued that fine form this season, having netted eight goals and providing two assists in his 16 league appearances so far this campaign.
As mentioned, Blackburn have seen Dack’s stock rise rapidly in the past few months and ‘bigger’ clubs are thought to be starting to sniff around the Ewood Park man, with Tottenham Hotspur once rumoured.
He is a huge asset for the club and will be vital to their efforts over the course of the season, however, it remains to be seen if he will still be there following the January transfer window.

Reach arrived at the Yorkshire outfit from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2016 and has become one of Jos Luhukay’s key men in the middle of the pitch.
The 25-year-old is currently enjoying his best football at Hillsborough for the Owls and has hit five goals and created a further two in his 18 Championship appearances so far – with some of his goals notoriously being famous for being wonderstrikes.
Again, as Dack, he has been linked with a move away from Sheffield Wednesday in January, with the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers having thought to have cast a keen eye in his direction.
An asset that Luhukay would certainly be keen to keep for as long as possible, he has become an important member of the squad, although there could be some consistency issues with his performances.
TT Grade: C+
Rated at £4.5million by Transfermarkt, Dack has proven to be instrumental for Blackburn and would win this battle.
The attacking midfielder has popped up with a number of important goals for Rovers this season already and has a pretty impressive of being unbeaten when he finds the net.
As great as Reach is for Sheffield Wednesday, his consistency in big games can let him down, which hands Dack the victory in this battle.
