Leeds United are thought to be in the January transfer market for a new goalkeeper and two names have been linked recently.
Real Madrid’s Kiko Casilla has been touted as a possible shot-stopper to come into the Elland Road outfit this winter and appears to be the club’s favourite to arrive.
However, Arsenal’s Emiliano Martinez is also thought to have been on their radar as they look to provide Bailey Peacock-Farrell with some cover and competition.
But, which shot-stopper would be best suited for Leeds and their promotion hopes?
Although the Spaniard is coming towards the latter stages of his career, the 32-year-old certainly makes up for it with the amount of experience he has to offer.
Casilla has won the La Liga as well as three Champions League titles during his time at Real Madrid, although he has been on the fringes of the squad for many of those honours.
The experience, however, of winning those titles could go a long way in Marcelo Bielsa and his side’s efforts in trying to obtain Premier League football next season.
Furthermore, the ‘keeper could also be an excellent mentor for Peacock-Farrell, which could certainly benefit the Northern Ireland international in the long-term.

Like Casilla is at Real Madrid, Martinez is very much out of favour at Arsenal and is thought to be looking for Championship football.
The 26-year-old is behind Bernd Leno and Petr Cech in the pecking order at the Gunners, however, the latter has announced his decision to retire at the end of the season.
In his eight years with the Emirates Stadium outfit, he has made just six Premier League appearances and has had numerous loan spells, where he has not played regular football either.
Martinez would certainly be a long-term option to Casilla and would provide Peacock-Farrell competition for his place over an extended period of time – considering he is only a few years older.

Martinez could benefit from going out on loan to a club like Leeds, however, would the Whites benefit from the Argentine?
Obviously, there would be a common link between the manager and player, however, he does not have the experience that the club are seeking, whilst there could be doubts over whether he will help to improve Peacock-Farrell in the long-term.
That would be a big enough reason to suggest that Casilla is the ideal man to come to Elland Road this winter – as he will be able to provide the experience and competition their current number one needs to reach the next level of his game.
