Leeds United fans here in the Tavern are craving success in the next campaign after struggling to ensure consistency during the second half of the season.
The Whites belong in the Premier League but they’ve had trouble getting there in recent years, as they just can’t seem to find the winning formula. However, they may be able to secure promotion next season if they manage to strengthen their squad this summer, with many of our local residents expecting a number of quality signings.
So, Leeds will need to bring in a striker and a winger this summer to create an unstoppable attack, as the likes of Caleb Ekuban, Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Jay-Roy Grot failed to score goals on a consistent basis.
So without further ado, Leeds must complete these TWO transfer deals before the end of June…
Marcus Maddison established himself as one of the best players in League One this season, as a summer move to the Championship would be just reward for his efforts thus far.
The 24-year-old is a very versatile player that can operate as an attacking midfielder or on the flanks as a winger, with an impressive 12 goals and 23 assists to his name this season.
So, with the likes of Pablo Hernandez, Ezgjan Alioski and Samuel Saiz already in attacking areas, Leeds United may become unstoppable next season if they manage to add Maddison to their ranks.
Abel Hernandez certainly knows how to find the back of the net, which is something that Leeds United could definitely benefit from next season.
Encouragingly, the Uruguayan managed to score eight goals in 10 Championship appearances this season, but with his contract running out at the end of this month, the Whites may be able to snap him up on a free.
The striker has an incredible amount of pace at his disposal, a deadly eye for goal and provides a dangerous aerial presence inside the box.
