‘We move on’, ‘Big game Sunday’ – Leeds fans react to Cardiff loss

Leeds United supporters were left drowning their sorrows in the Transfer Tavern on Tuesday night after seeing their team lose at Cardiff City.

The Yorkshire giants began the evening top of the Championship having won six of their opening nine league matches, but succumbed to a 3-1 defeat in South Wales on Tuesday, with a brace from Kenneth Zohore and a Junior Hoilett strike getting the better of Thomas Christiansen’s men.

Kemar Roofe got one back midway through the second half but the visitors were unable to launch a comeback, in turn suffering a second successive league defeat on the road, and losing their place at the top of the Championship to Neil Warnock’s side.

Liam Cooper’s first half red card did little to help Leeds who were well off the pace during the opening period, but such is the nature of the Championship, they will have the chance to put that result behind them when they travel to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.

Nonetheless, many Leeds fans took to Twitter in the aftermath of Tuesday’s game to express their views on the match, and it’s fair to say that they were disappointed with their side’s performance, but hope they can bounce back at the weekend…
