West Brom are flying high in the Championship, just a win away from the automatic positions halfway through the season.
Much has been made of Darren Moore’s start to life as a West Brom manager as he continues to deliver brilliant results which leads fans into thinking promotion is a real possibility this season.
With the goals continuing to fly in – 52 in 24 games – the league’s top goalscorer’s will want to believe they can achieve great things this season.
Yet at times, the Baggies have been tested and should therefore look to sign some more players during the January transfer window.
A midfielder would be a wise choice – someone as good as Newcastle’s Isaac Hayden for example.
Hayden, (who is valued at £6.3 million on Transfermarkt) has failed to make an impact for Newcastle this season, managing just six appearances in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old probably would have hoped for more involved at this stage, seeing as he managed 29 appearances in all competitions last season.
However, that could be an advantage for West Brom to progress in a deal to sign the Englishman.
Without regular football, Isaac Hayden will find it hard to improve but with a move back down to the Championship, he could be a vital component in helping West Brom achieve promotion.
Not only does he threaten to boost their squad but also gives them a healthier chance at getting back into the Premier League.
It maybe a hard deal to push through but West Brom must realise the need for a midfielder as good as he is, someone who can pass the ball and sweep away any danger.
