West Brom team news: Moore has luxury of being able to name unchanged side

West Bromwich Albion will be looking to keep their impressive form going when they meet Wigan Athletic on Saturday afternoon.

The Baggies entered the international break on the back of a 4-1 drubbing of Reading to leave them in second place in the Championship, just one point behind leaders Sheffield United.

Darren Moore’s side have looked strong promotion contenders this season and it appears that they will have some good news heading into the game against the Latics.

According to a match preview by Sky Sports, Albion could look to use the same side that defeated the Royals prior to the break.

Chris Brunt and Hal Robson-Kanu are thought to be available, whilst Bakary Sako is on the verge of making his first appearance for the club.

The Mali international joined on a free transfer at the beginning of the month on a short-term deal and has been busy working on his fitness.

Matt Phillips could also feature as he has been ruled of the last four matches with a muscle strain, however, the Baggies will continue to assess him on a game-by-game basis.

The Verdict:

Moore’s side will likely be considered strong favourites to get all three points from their visit to the DW Stadium.

Having the boost of being able to name an unchanged side will surely give them an advantage, whilst the likes of Dwight Gayle, Harvey Barnes and Jay Rodriguez have all been in impressive form.

Wigan are coming off the back of a heavy defeat to Preston North End, which could make it a difficult test for the Baggies, however, many will be expectant of an away win.
