Leeds United have been one of the form teams in the Championship this season as they continue to work towards securing promotion to the Premier League.
The Whites drafted in a number of players during the summer transfer window in the hope of securing promotion, but they haven’t necessarily made the biggest of impacts so far this season.
Leeds United signed Kemar Roofe from Oxford United on a four-year deal back in the summer of 2016, and has since established himself as one of the standout performers for the Whites.
Indeed, the Englishman has really come on leaps and bounds over the past couple of years but now appears to be at the peak of his powers under Marcelo Bielsa. He currently has seven goals and two assists to his name in the Championship this season, despite spending a period of time out on the sidelines due to an injury.
However, his upturn in form has attracted the attention of a number of Premier League clubs, with the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace and Southampton all interested in a January move.
The 25-year-old has single-handedly secured Leeds United a number of points this season and will no doubt play a huge part in their push for promotion. But, all of this could come to an end if Marcelo Bielsa makes a rash decision during the January transfer window.
Of course, the South American boss should do absolutely everything he can to hold onto the striker in January, no matter how much money is being offered for his services as he is simply priceless in the eyes of many supporters.
But, Leeds United could find themselves waving goodbye to their promotion hopes if Bielsa decides to make a rash transfer decision by trading the striker in for cash in January, as the Whites will struggle to replace him as his contributions have been invaluable this season.
