Wolves fans here in the Transfer Tavern are relieved that the season is coming to an end, especially after mixing it at the bottom of the Championship table for most of the campaign!
But after picking up form in recent weeks, any fears of relegation have been put to bed, with Lambert now focusing on the summer and starting afresh in August.
And one man that could be moving to ambitious Wolves this summer is Chris Martin, according to a report in the Daily Star.
Wolves would have to pay a fee of around £7million for the Scottish international striker, who has been on-loan at Fulham for the majority of this campaign.
The 28-year-old has struggled for form at time at Craven Cottage this season and there’s some Wolves fans lining the bar that aren’t sure if he’s the man to lead the line next season.
But there’s little doubt that with Gary Rowett now at the helm of Pride Park, there’s big change on the horizon in the East Midlands with the former Birmingham boss keen on bringing in his own signings over the summer.
